core skills & strengths

child-centered focus

My commitment to a child-centered focus is at the core of my approach to early childhood education. I understand that every child is unique, with individual needs, interests, and developmental trajectories.

leadership & mentoring

Leadership and mentoring are integral components of my approach to fostering a positive and effective educational environment. I believe that strong leadership not only enhances the growth of individual educators but also significantly impacts the overall quality of education that children receive.

curriculum & program development

My experience in curriculum and program development has been a cornerstone of my role as an early childhood educator and leader. I am passionate about designing and implementing effective early childhood programs that not only meet developmental standards but also inspire creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning among children.

family & community engagement

Building strong partnerships with families and the community is essential to creating a supportive and effective educational environment. I believe that engaging families and community members fosters a collaborative atmosphere that enhances children’s learning experiences and promotes positive outcomes.

I am a mother too.

Juggling the roles of both a leader and a mother has shaped me in profound ways, making me a more empathetic and effective leader, mentor, peer, and educator. As a mother, I’ve learned the importance of patience, understanding, and adaptability—skills that directly translate into my professional life. Motherhood has deepened my ability to listen, support, and nurture those around me, from colleagues to children in the classroom.

Balancing these two roles has strengthened my time management and decision-making skills, helping me prioritise what truly matters. It has also given me a more compassionate lens through which I lead and mentor, allowing me to relate to and support fellow educators and parents alike. Being a mother has made me more in tune with the needs of children and families, and it has reinforced my commitment to creating inclusive, supportive, and nurturing environments in both my personal and professional life.

"To lead the people, walk behind them."
- Lao Tzu

As a leader, my approach is to provide guidance, resources, and support while empowering teachers to take the lead in the educational process. I foster a collaborative environment that nurtures teacher autonomy, allowing them to apply their expertise and creativity in the classroom. This philosophy promotes a motivated and empowered teaching team, which not only enhances professional growth but also leads to a more dynamic and enriching learning experience for the young children in our care.
